ESARDA at a Glance

ESARDA is an association of European organisations formed to advance and harmonise research and development in the area of safeguards. It also provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas between nuclear facility operators, safeguards authorities and persons engaged in research and development. ESARDA was formed in 1969 with the purpose of facilitating collaboration in R&D in the field of safeguards and in the application of such R&D to the safeguarding of source and special fissile materials.

2017 Symposium Call for Papers

The 39th ESARDA Annual Meeting will be a symposium on Safeguards and Nuclear Non-Proliferation, held at the Meliá Hotel Düsseldorf, Germany, from 16 - 18 May 2017. The Symposium will be preceded by meetings of the ESARDA Working Groups and Committees at Forschungszentrum on 15 May 2017.

16th ESARDA Course Registrations Open

We are pleased to announce that the registrations for next year's 16th ESARDA Course are open. The course will be held on 3rd-7th April at the Joint Research Centre in Ispra, Italy.

2nd MetroDecom Workshop Announced

On the 11th-12th of October 2016 a workshop on the Metrology for Decomissioning Nuclear Facilities project will take place at the JRC-Ispra, in order to facilitate a dialogue among stakeholders, authorities, industrial operators, manufacturers of measurement devices and project partners coming from the 15 participating European National Metrology Institutes, agencies and industrial companies.
