Description
The 31st ESARDA Symposium saw the presentation of 108 papers on recent findings related to nuclear safeguards, organised in 20 sessions of presentations, and one of posters. More than 170 participants attended the event. The topics encompassed: Future challenges; Safeguards concepts; Destructive analysis; Environmental sampling; Containment and surveillance; Integrated safeguards; Non destructive assay; Export control; Remote techniques for treaty verification; Illicit trafficking and portable detection systems; Measurement techniques for spent fuel; Security in information treatment and exchange; Process modelling and data treatment; Repository and waste; Facility specific safeguards. The JRC contributed with several papers and, as responsible of ESARDA Secretariat, edits and publishes the proceedings.
