ESARDA at a Glance

ESARDA is an association of European organisations formed to advance and harmonise research and development in the area of safeguards. It also provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas between nuclear facility operators, safeguards authorities and persons engaged in research and development. ESARDA was formed in 1969 with the purpose of facilitating collaboration in R&D in the field of safeguards and in the application of such R&D to the safeguarding of source and special fissile materials.

Swedish Radiation Safety Authority announces availability of funding

The Swedish Radiation Safety Authority welcomes national and international universities and research organisations to participate in this call. Applications should be received no later than April 24th 2017.

 The Swedish Radiation Safety Authority is tasked with supporting and initiating research within the Authority’s areas of operation. This assignment encompasses the field of nuclear non-proliferation, including safeguards, export control and illicit trafficking in nuclear materials and radioactive substances. The Authority is hereby pleased to announce availability of research funding in this field. The planned funding totals SEK 1,000,000 (roughly EUR 99,000) allocated over a period of two years, mid-2017 – mid-2019.
