ESARDA at a Glance
ESARDA is an association of European organisations formed to advance and harmonise research and development in the area of safeguards. It also provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas between nuclear facility operators, safeguards authorities and persons engaged in research and development. ESARDA was formed in 1969 with the purpose of facilitating collaboration in R&D in the field of safeguards and in the application of such R&D to the safeguarding of source and special fissile materials.

Report on the 2015 Activities of the ESARDA NDA Working Group
The NDA-WG met twice in 2015; with its first meeting held during the symposium in Manchester in May, and second meeting in Ispra on 1st December. After the meeting in Manchester, Alessandro Borella took over the Chair from Patrick Chard, with Peter Jansson as Vice-Chair. Louise G. Worrall (was Evans) will work closely with A. Borella and P. Jansson, in preparation for becoming Vice-Chair in 2017 (and then Chair 2 years after that, following the normal rotation).
