Julie Oddou has served as the Head of the Comité Technique Euratom (CTE), the French authority for international safeguards implementation, since October 2017.
She has worked in the field of non-proliferation for more than 15 years, starting first as a technical expert at IRSN (the French TSO), focusing on the implementation of the provisions of Biological and Chemical Weapons Conventions.
After a move to the nuclear field in 2003, she was involved in the practical implementation of the Additional protocol in France that entered into force in 2004.
In 2007, she joined the CTE, as a Safeguards Officer responsible for compliance with the Euratom and IAEA safeguards commitments.
Between 2013 and 2017, J. Oddou served as nuclear Counselor at the Permanent Mission of France to the UN in Vienna on safeguards and non-proliferation issues.
